Can You View Your Uploaded Exam on Examplify

Your examination answer file should upload automatically one time y'all take submitted your test. You volition receive feedback from the Examplify application that will advise you lot when this has completed.

You will also receive an Answer File Upload Confirmation electronic mail when your reply file has successfully uploaded. This email will also explicate that the video proctoring file may still be in progress. A divide confirmation email will exist sent to indicate the successful upload of your video proctoring file.

If your video proctoring file has not been uploaded within 24 hours of your exam, you will receive an upload reminder e-mail. Yous will go on to receive this email until the file has been uploaded.

In usual circumstances, an exam could take 5–15 minutes to upload—that is the respond file and the remote invigilation (supervision) recording file. Anyone with a slow internet connectedness could find their exam takes upward to three hours to upload.

If something seems to be wrong, please cheque the following:

  • Your device is continued to the internet. If you are unable to obtain an internet connexion later on completing an test, restart your device. After the restart, open Examplify and you will exist prompted to retry uploading the exam files.
  • Certain networks may prevent the exam answer file from uploading. In these cases, information technology would exist best to connect to a different network (including mobile hotspots) or perform a manual upload of the answer file using the instructions listed in the next department.
  • If a specific error message is displayed when attempting to upload your respond file, such as "Something unexpected happened", or "answer bundle does not attach to the correct format", please contact AskOtago.

Manual uploads can be undertaken for both Windows and macOS computers. If Examplify is unable to upload your answer file automatically later an examination, you tin find and upload the file using the Examsoft website instead. Please note that you will need to employ the same calculator that was used to complete the exam. See the instructions below for Windows and macOS:

Manual upload instructions if you are using a Windows calculator

  1. Log in to your Otago Examsoft portal
  2. Select Courses or History from the ExamSoft banner at the elevation of the page.
  3. Click the Manual examination upload push button, then click Browse.
  4. In the File Explorer window, navigate to this folder: C:\ProgramData\Examplify\STBackups You lot can do this by copying and pasting the folder path into the address bar in File Explorer as shown beneath:

  5. Select the folder labelled with your student ID followed by the name of the exam y'all are trying to submit answers for.
  6. Select the *.xmsl file in this folder and click Open up.

  7. Click Upload to submit the answer file.

If you lot are unable to locate the answer file inside the STBackups folder, please be sure to check the following folder path for non-uploaded answer files: C:\ProgramData\Examplify\Client ID\Student ID\AnswerBundle\Exam Posting ID .

The Client ID is generally three to iv digits. The Exam Posting ID will be six digits.

Manual upload instructions if you are using a macBone X computer

  1. Log in to your Otago Examsoft portal
  2. Select Courses or History from the ExamSoft banner at the peak of the page.
  3. Click the Transmission exam upload button, then click Browse.
  4. In the Finder window, navigate to this folder: /Library/Application Support/Examplify

    You can practise this by pressing the Shift + ⌘ + G keys at the same time, and then copy and paste the binder path into the prompt as shown below, then clicking Get.

  5. Find and open the folder named STBackups.
  6. Select the folder labelled with your student ID followed past the name of the test you are trying to submit answers for.
  7. Locate the answer file with the extension *.xmsl .

  8. Click the Upload button to submit the file.

If you are unable to locate the answer file within the STBackups folder, please be sure to cheque the following binder path for not-uploaded reply files: Library\Awarding Back up\Examplify\Client ID\Pupil ID\AnswerBundle\Examination Posting ID

The Client ID is generally iii to four digits. The Exam Posting ID will be six digits.
